The Michigan Department of Transportation

Reduced Overtime Requests and Increased Program Stability

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is responsible for expanding, improving, and maintaining a highway system that includes more than 9,500 roadway miles. MDOT needed to redesign business processes to meet increased federal requirements and deliver more product with fewer employees

Robbins-Gioia provided a program/project management system tailored to the MDOT business model, performed cost/schedule and resource analyses, and provided training for PMs and support personnel.

RESULT: MDOT can now identify resource overloads early on in a project, which reduces overtime requests and increases program stability.
